St. Mark School offers afterschool care for St. Mark students. Program hours are 3:10 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The program offers supervised care including opportunities for arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and homework time. A snack and drink is provided for each student who is in afterschool care for a minimum of one hour.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Children attending the afterschool program proceed directly to Room 109 and check in with afterschool staff. After-School children are not allowed to freely roam around the facility without supervision.
Children MUST be signed out by parent/person picking up the child. The afterschool staff will receive the St. Mark Catholic School Student Pick-up Authorization Form you completed and abide by its contents. The afterschool staff may require identification prior to releasing your child.
In case of emergency, you can reach the afterschool staff at 452-2800 ext. 251 during program hours.
CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT PICKED UP IN THE AFTERNOON BY 3:30PM WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY TAKEN TO AFTER-SCHOOL CARE AND BE CHARGED BY THE HOUR WITH A ONE HOUR MINIMUM.
REGISTRATION COSTS & FEES
The cost for the afterschool program is $4 per hour, charged in 15 minute increments. A late fee of $5 for each 15 minutes a child remains after 6:00 pm is charged in addition to the child care charge.
For a child to participate in the afterschool program, the parent must complete a Child Care Registration form. There is a registration fee of $30 per child. In addition there is a required deposit of $100 per child. This deposit is used to offset fees as they are incurred. All fees must be paid prior to the child staying in the afterschool program.
When a child's remaining balance in the afterschool account gets to $25, parents will be requested to bring the balance back to $100. Children will not be allowed to attend child care if their balance gets to zero as St. Mark does not have the capacity to invoice and collect outstanding child care debt. Payment may be made by check or credit card. Payments by credit card will incur a $3 convenience fee per transaction. Credit card payments are processed at the School Receptionist's desk. Any credit balances at the end of the school year will be refunded by check mailed to the parents in mid-June.
